That’s what happened with Bill and Moira. They had a nice detached sidesplit in
demand South Ajax. The plan was to sell and move to Alberta to be close to their
daughter and grandkids. The only problem – the market at the time was, in a nutshell,
“not strong”. However, knowing that the few buyers out there gravitate to well-kept
homes on large pie-shaped lots on nice, quiet streets in great neighborhoods, I felt
confident we would get the home sold at a good price. Well, we sold over the asking
price in just 3 days. Bill and Moira were more than happy but most of all, they were
looking forward to the next chapter of their lives in Calgary.
Fast forward 13 years and we receive a call from Bill. They were moving back to
Durham Region and want us to find them something in South Ajax. No problem, we
take their wants and needs, then start sending them listings and touch base regularly to
refine and revise their search criteria. However, after a couple months, they contact us
to let us know things have changed and they’re no longer moving back to Ontario. No
problem, we thanked them for thinking of us and wished them well.
Not 3 months later we receive another call from Bill. They just sold their Alberta home
with a quick closing and need to find something asap. Exactly 30 days later, Bill and
Moira have purchased another sidesplit, this time in Whitby.
It’s great having such nice, loyal clients. Both Bill and Moira mentioned to me multiple
times how they value the service my team and I always give them. As you can see, I’ve
now helped them sell and buy twice now. However, that’s not the end of the story. Less
than 4 years later, we receive a call from Bill and Moira that they are homesick and want
to move back to Calgary. They would like to do it before their granddaughter’s wedding.
Our team quickly sprang into action. We referred them to an agent to help them buy in
Alberta and I listed their home and before the offer date, we received a bully offer and
sold their home for $31,000 over the asking price.
The moral of this story? The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team makes customer service a
priority. Our goal isn’t to just get a deal done, but to give such outstanding service that I truly believe we are second to none. I also believe if we accomplish this goal, not only
will we sell a lot of homes, but our clients will return to use us again and again and
again.
